Colours in HTML
Colors in HTML can be expressed in two ways:
- In RGB (Rand GReen Blues) ;
- by name ( only with Netscape and Internet Explorer ) .
The first is the most flexible and is also the method used by most editors for image processing .
It is based on a combination of the three primary colors Red, Green and Blue to get any color in the range of those available. Each of these three colors is possible to assign a hexadecimal value between " 00 "and "FF " (corresponding to 0 and 255) combine to achieve the desired hue .
Are obtained in this way six-digit codes are always preceded by the symbol # and including quotes .
The second possibility, not compatible to all browsers, allows you to directly enter the desired color (of course in English).
What follows are the hexadecimal codes and names of the 126 primary colors recognized by Netscape Navigator 2.0 ( so that they can see the graphics card must support at least 256 colors).
In addition to these basic colors you can get many other combinations.
e.g various shades of blue can be used :
but all possible combinations are only supported graphics card with 16M colors .
